Internet-of-Things (IoT) Security

You are here:Home » Research » Research Areas » Internet-of-Things (IoT) Security

Every day, security researchers discover new (critical) vulnerabilities on IoT devices. Our current research goals entail understanding the risks posed by IoT devices and propose novel research solutions to protect them. We are particularly interested in discovering vulnerabilities in smart-home devices, such as smart light-bulbs, smart-cameras (IP cameras, CCTVS, DVRs), smart electronic locks, baby monitors and the like. More importantly to provide countermeasures for the identified attacks and weaknesses. For this reason, we have more than 10 MSc projects running this summer on the above topics. More information about the devices and findings of this research thread can be provided under an NDA.
