My project title is “Autonomous Cars – Evaluation of Security Countermeasures”. IThe project aims at evaluating how secure are autonomous vegicles. There are levels to a car’s autonomy ranging from driver assistance to full autonomation. I started my project by investigating the attack vectors in autonomous cars e.g. the CANBUS, the ODB II port and the infotainment system. I then analysed and compared a set of standards for autonomous cars and produced a comparative analysis. Subsequently I am beginning to pen test an infotainment system running on Android 9.
